How to stabilize a shaky shot in After Effects - VFX Vlog #17
Ever had a shaky video that you wanted to stabilize? In this Adobe After Effects tutorial I show you how you can use Motion Tracking to stabilize your footage!
You can use the 2D motion tracker in Adobe After Effects to track your footage and then use the tracking information to remove any shakiness from the video. This is great for removing shakiness from hand held shots.
Before following this video, I recommend that you check out my original 2D Motion Tracking tutorial:

This technique will not work if your footage is too shake because, even if you stabilize the shot, the individual frames of the video are very blurry and will likely make your footage look strange and jittery.
In those scenarios I recommend re-shooting your footage to make sure you have decent material to work with.
