Learn how to easily sync your effects & animations with audio in Adobe After Effects. You can extract keyframes from your audio files that represent the audio volume and, using simple expressions, like this information up to any effect you want!
Adobe After Effects allows you to generate keyframes representing the audio volume from your clips. You can do this by selecting a layer that contains audio and then going to
Animation — Keyframe Assistant — Generate Keyframes from Audio
A new Null Object will be created that contains 3 slider expression control effects: one for the left, one for the right and one for both channels’ volume.

Once you have generated keyframes from your audio volume, you can use expressions to link any effect parameter or layer property to the value of the keyframes. This will animate your effects or animations in sync with the audio.
